From Cospicua and I live in Kalkara. Daughter of Emanuela and Anthony Zerafa. The second of five siblings, married to Christian Civelli and the mother of a six-year-old girl, Carla. I always attended government schools and after the sixth form I enrolled at the University of Malta for the Bachelor of Education course. I then went on to study and obtained a Masters Degree in Education from the University of Malta and am currently pursuing a Masters in Management and Good Governance.

My profession is that of an educator. I have taught at various levels and in government schools. I have worked with students with social, emotional and behavioral difficulties. In 2016 I served as an assistant principal and later as a coordinator at another learning center.

Between 2013 and 2022 I held the position of Mayor of Cospicua – a position from which I learned immensely and which brought me closer to the people on a daily basis. In March 2022 I contested the General Election with the Labour Party and was elected to the Maltese Parliament where I was entrusted with the post of Parliamentary Secretary for Local Government.
